the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation ( RIRRC ) has developed the ResourceXchange to provide a free service and resource for the business community. Through the ResourceXchange on-line database, and by actively researching and pursuing reuse and recycling options, links are created between:

1. businesses, non-profits, educational institutions, and government agencies that have a surplus of waste materials, and
2. those that may have a use for these materials.

The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation also recomends that businesses and organizations that register with the ResourceXchange also register for the EPA program " WasteWise ", a business service provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency.

The ResourceXchange can assist you, and ultimately your bottom line, by:

1) reducing recurring disposal costs 2) finding reusable items and feedstock materials at little to no cost 3) mitigating storage and staff expenses 4) enhancing the environmental image of companies 5) achieving corporate and community environmental goals

The end result is that your expenses go down, your image is enhanced, and the amount of discards entering the landfill is reduced thereby minimizing environmental impact.

There are no fees associated with the use of the ResourceXchange database and a degree in computer technology is not required to master it. Members have access to the links on the right side of the page. Visitors can browse through postings by using the form available on the home page.

We encourage you to become a member of the Materials Exchange Program. By doing so, you can take full advantage of this valuable program. By submitting the registration form , you have the option of receiving email notifications of new listings in targeted, product categories that you select. Note that you must be a member to post new listings.
